National Film Board of Canada
This Crown corporation has the distribution rights for all of the films made in its studios, over 6,200 in English and 4,500 in French. The website is easy to access and use. Unfortunately, there is a domestic-for-home-use price and an international one which is much higher. The best procedure to order an NFB video (1-800-267-7710; 1-514-283-9000) and have it mailed to a Canadian address.

Their collection is very strong for compilations of animated and film versions of Canadian short stories in Discuss It, and Short Stories (Stephen Leacock's My Financial Career, The Awful Fate of Melpomenus Jones, and Roch Carrier's story, The Sweater.

Free online scripts:
Among the websites offering scripts that can be downloaded, the most comprehensive is Dave's Script-o-rama, but there are others as well, some like Star Pulse offering filmography. The limitations are that few Canadian films can be found there except Anne of Green Gables, The English Patient, (at some sites), Never Cry Wolf, and The Titanic.
