You should only apply if you are able and willing to accept classes offered at our campus in Shibuya (Tokyo) and—if you are not a Japanese national—have a currently valid visa allowing you to work in Japan.
Candidates must have a) an M.A. or Ph.D. in TESOL, English, Applied Linguistics, or Communications, and b) three (or more) years experience teaching English at a university. These are the minimum requirements.
Those who are interviewed will need to bring the original of their master's diploma [or evidence of successful completion of a Ph.D. or Ed.D. degree program] and non-Japanese are asked to prepare a copy of the page of their passport that indicates current visa status, in addition to copies of both sides of their residence card. During the interview we ask applicants to show us an example of a particular lesson plan (or course curriculum) that they created themselves.
